Accommodation. Where do we stay?
Our gorgeous historic farm house is available for rent by the wedding couple and families, or the wedding party. It sleeps up to 20 guests. Visit the lodging page!

The farm's site is wonderfully remote, yet close to all important services and lodging.  There are many well-appointed bed & breakfasts and small boutique hotels sleeping up to a 200 people in the area, as close as 10-20 minutes away, but also larger places like Hampton Inn and Marriott 30-40 minutes away.  We will provide a list of all the lodging options nearby that we recommend.  We also have beautiful lodging for the wedding couple at the farm: a room with a view of the lake from an antique bed from the civil war.  There are a number of transportation companies in the area that are available to bring your guests to and from their hotels to the farm on the night of your wedding.

Music & Sounds
You may bring a live band or DJ, or we can provide a list of who is available in the area.  The venue fee includes basic sound set-up in the barn, for ipod and for speeches.  If you have any specific sound needs beyond what we can provide, let us know so we can quote rentals.

What about noise restrictions or time restrictions?
Seven Ponds Farm has over 100 acres of land, so we are a good distance away from our neighbors.  Music or noise is not a problem. The venue is available for as late as you would like, although there is an extra charge per person after 11pm, to cover for additional beverages and staffing (and to tend to the bonfire).

Where can we do the ceremony at the farm?
Ceremony overlooks several ponds and facing endless mountain views.    Ceremony chairs and arch are included in the Venue fee.

Do you offer catering?
We offer the most unique and high-end cuisine in the area, with our own products grown on the farm, cooked by our Michelin-rated kitchen staff.  Ask us for the various menu options and pricing packages for catering.

Buffet or seated dinners?
Buffet is a more relaxed option and guests get to mingle and try many different foods.  Full seat-down plated dinners are more elegant.  We are able to accommodate either, and would customize a proposal based on your needs.

Flowers and décor?
Basic décor and lighting indoors and outdoors, are all included, but flowers are extra.  We offer additional decor and flowers, for a reasonable fee, but you can bring in a florist, and we will provide reccomendations.

One day or weekend wedding?
Most couples also rent our farm house (which sleeps 20) to make the wedding an exciting weekend getaway, with hiking, fishing and boating in the lake, and swimming. Or even be a part of the harvesting in the fields. That way you are all relaxed for the wedding day.

Rehearsal dinner, brunch and breakfast?
In addition to the reception and the cocktail hour, we also offer different options for your rehearsal dinner the night before, or brunch the day after, and even breakfast/lunch for your guests in the farm house. We can host a Lakefront Rehearsal Dinner BBQ or a Barn Buffet Brunch.

Bride's Quarter and Groom's Quarter?
Included in the venue fee is a beautiful room with bathroom for the bride to dress, do hair and makeup.  And even for a little nap in an antique bed.  If a second area is needed, we have a room with a fireplace for the groom and up to 6 relatives.  Most couples rent the farm house to provide a peaceful sanctuary for the couple and their families during the festivities.

Local Bus service to and from the various lodging sites is convenient, and then you don't have to have that many designated drivers. We will provide a list of local bus services as well as complete directions from all major cities. There is also bus routes from NYC.

When is the farm available?
Seven Ponds Farm is beautiful in all seasons: spring, summer and fall, from May through October.  We host weddings mostly on Saturdays and Sundays. During weekdays, the farm is available for other private events.

Bonfire is really nice because if it gets a little cooler, that warmth is welcoming. We have several bonfire sites at the farm. There is a $400 fee for us to build, light, stoke and manage each bonfire.
